Tour Itinerary

Step 2: The tour will begin with short drive to Chuandixia Ancient Village. Chuandixia, which literally means “Under the Earthen Cooking Potâ€Â, is the village that time forgot. According to local legend, this small, out-of-the-way town dates back more than 600 years to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). It was then that a man a woman, fleeing floods in Shanxi Province, found their way to this heaven, which has seen little change in the past few hundred years – a living fossil of the Qing dynasty.

Step 3: Travel around the ancient village and short hike along the nearby mountain sides. You may grab the opportunity to have close contact with the local elderly in order to know more about the stories of this time forgot village.
