Tour Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Jingshan Park & Temple of Heaven 

Airport pick up by well trained English speaking Beijing private tour guide with car/van as stated in booking details. The tour will begin at Tiananmen Square, the largest square in China as well as the important venue where liberation of China was officially declared. You may also walk slightly to the west to take an exterior view of the National Centre of the Performing Arts which located just a few steps away. An approximately 30 minute’s stroll can be made at Tiananmen Square. From Tiananmen Square, walk straight to the north and you will pass through Tiananmen Tower and later reach Wumen (Meridian Gate) of Forbidden City. This is the South Gate of Forbidden City. There are too many interesting spots for you to visit within the park and you need to walk throughout the whole journey. Then, pay a visit to Jingshan Park which located at the north of Forbidden City. After having Chinese lunch, you will visit Temple of Heaven, which used to be the venue for ancient emperors to pray for peace and harvest. Return to your hotel after the tour.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall, Ming Tombs & Sacred Way 

Hotel pickup and check out if necessary. It will take approximately 1 and a half hour drive to reach Mutianyu Great Wall which located about 53 miles northeast of Beijing. Originally built in the sixth century, Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the most popular sites for today’s tourists. Mutianyu is one of the wall’s most overdeveloped and crowded sections. Nevertheless, once you climb up the wall and move away from the crowds, it offers picture-postcard views of the Great Wall and the surrounding countryside. Upon arrival, you may choose either to climb up the Great Wall yourself or to reach the peak on an easy way via the assistance of cable car. Then continue the tour to Ming Tombs (Changling or Dingling) and its Sacred Way. On the way back to your hotel, you may stop to take an exterior view of Beijing Olympic Heritages including Bird’s Nest, Water Cube and also the Beijing Olympic Village. Enjoy the most authentic Peking Roast Duck and later transfer back to Beijing Capital International Airport.
